Corymbia citriodora citronella type (Kininy olive)

Kininy, is pronounced Quinine like the anti-malarial medicine used by the settlers of the last century. The natives named the trees with which they treated themselves. Thus the niaouli is called kininyn'drano (because it grows in water) and the other lemon eucalyptus is called kininy manitra (fragrant eucalyptus)

large tree of the myrtaceae family, with persistent foliage with long, lanceolate leaves. We plant a lot of them and offer seeds and seedlings to neighboring farmers to give them cooking wood for cooking. it is a tree viable in 7 years whose root is not very deep. the bark is light and the plume is located quite high in the tree.

It naturally repels mosquitoes around it. We planted 94,000 in 2018 and continue to plant them regularly.

Anecdote: on our land of Anakendrika following a cyclone, old eucalyptus trees had fallen, revealing their ball-shaped roots next to the hole where they were planted. The workers began to cut the plume of the tree and it, being lightened, replanted itself in its hole. The panicked workers came to the farm to get rum to water the tree which according to them was not happy because it was still alive.... I am not making fun but I am trying to show you the relationship with nature of the inhabitants of the valley because it is contagious; We cannot live in nature without communicating with it.
